Jeff Bauerlein has over 26 years of technology and leadership experience within the federal sector, including a distinguished career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) specializing in strategy execution, enterprise architecture, and IT modernization.

Prior to joining Avint, Jeff served as the FBI's Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Assistant Director. In this role, he was responsible for FBI-wide technology direction and cybersecurity initiatives, while directing governance, compliance, and strategic AI adoption across the Bureau's information systems. His executive career at the Bureau also includes serving as Deputy Assistant Director for the IT Infrastructure Division and as Chief Enterprise Architect. During his tenure, Jeff led several large-scale technology deployments, implemented scaled agile methodologies within the IT Infrastructure Division, and directed the development of a secure remote-work platform that served as the foundation for the Bureau's zero-trust security architecture. He received the FBI Director's Award for Integrity and Compliance for his work in enterprise risk mitigation.

Jeff holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Muhlenberg College and a Certificate in Enterprise Architecture from California State University - East Bay and The FEAC Institute.
